Château Lynch-Bages

AOP Pauillac

France

Château Lynch-Bages2011 / 2015, 750 ml

The vineyard of Lynch-Bages is spread across the gravelly plateau of the hamlet of Bages, to the south of Pauillac. From 1749 to 1824, it was owned by the Lynch family, of Irish origin, and later in 1933, became the property of Cazes family. In 1973 Jean Michel Cazes initiated the renovation of the whole property. The estate has been equipped with modern facilities to produce a worldwide famous wine. The wines of Lynch Bages are well known for their magnificent complexity. They combine great elegance with roundness and richness.
Blend: 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot.
This classic, powerful, firm Lynch Bages may be as concentrated (if not more so) than the 2005.
It possesses a dense purple-tinged colour, with cassis notes interwoven with hints of roast beef, savoury herbs, spice box and subtle oak, good acidity and ripe tannin.
The result is a full-bodied, fleshy Pauillac.
