Baron Edmond de Rothschild Rimapere2021, 750 ml

Rimapere is a partnership between the Baron Benjamin de Rothschild (owner of Château Clarke and Château des Laurets in Bordeaux) and Mr Terry Peabody, owner of Craggy Range winery in New Zealand. 'Rimapere' means 'five arrows' in Maori, the five arrows are the emblem of the Rothschild family, symbolising the 5 brothers at the origin of this dynasty of entrepreneurs, the five sons of Mayer Amschel Rothschild (1744–1812, Frankfurt, Germany).

Rimapere grapes are carefully grown and the wine is made under the direction of the Craggy Range winemaking team. The vineyards are ideally situated in the prestigious Rapaura sites, in the heart of Marlborough. The cool climate of this area is perfect to ripen high quality Sauvignon Blanc and provide to these grapes their typical lemon and grapefruit flavours together with crisp acidity.

Tasting notes: Pale yellow colour with intense and expressive nose of lemon peel, grapefruit layered good minerality. Complex with citrus, white flowers and exotic fruit flavours, this wine shows great balance and freshness thanks to a good acidity level.
Serving: To be paired with goat cheese, white meat and chicken, seafood and oysters. Advised serving temperature is at 12°C.
